Katie Jo Williams is an Army National Guardsman, a combat veteran, and (now formerly) Ms. Nevada State 2019. Her title was recently revoked by Ms. America Pageant officials.

According to Williams, she would regularly receive calls from the pageant director telling her to tone down political posts on social media. Even going so far as to ask her to delete certain posts.

She further claims that the pageant director would often give conflicting orders. At some events telling Williams to get photos with political figures, such as Donald Trump Jr, but at other times telling Williams that they did not approve of her political posts.

“I was very confused by this,” Williams was quoted saying in an interview.

Since having her title revoked, Williams has persevered and begun to speak out on being censored. She took to Twitter to share her frustrations, and inform the world of the censorship taking place within Ms. America Pageants.
